A very RARE gem from the 1800's-early 1900's, this pen wipe was used to remove excess ink from a pen nib after dipping it in an ink well. I do not know whether the cat itself is made of Vienna bronze or spelter metal. The bristles (horse hair ?) are easily coming off if not handled carefully. Measures 2-3/4"L x 2"W x 1-3/4"H.
